I can get in a large wallet, eyeglass case, cosmetic bag, cell phone, car keys, etc. It is not a deep purse and I find my cell phone barely fits in one of the inside center pockets but I have a rather large phone (Galaxy S III). The pockets on either side of the center pockets are smaller still. For those wanting a smaller bag that can still hold most of the essentials, this one is it. The long drop on the handles (12") are perfect and the zipper top has two zippers so there is some variation on how you can open and close it.
